Global cues hurt market: How long will the pain last ?
This week has been quite tumultuous for the market. Domestic as well as global factors dampened the sentiment in the truncated week, which started with a consolidation on Tuesday amid lingering uncertainty over eurozone. The Sensex saw a fall of over 200 points in late trade on Wednesday followed by more than 169 points fall on Friday.
The 50-share NSE Nifty lost 52.2 points, to end the week at 5,168.85. This technically confirms a breakdown, according to Sudarshan Sukhani of technicaltrends.com. However, he said, “It is quite possible that we may not have any follow through on Monday. In that case this was just a 20-point close which did not work out. So as we stand we have to wait till Monday to find out what actually the market wants.”
