ડોલર સામે રૂપિયાનું અવમૂલ્યન રોકવા રીઝર્વ બેન્કે પગલા લીધા પછી ભારતીય બજારો દિવસના પહેલા ભાગમાં તેજીમાં રહ્યા હતા પણ બપોર પછી યુરોપના નબળા બજારોની ચાલે દોરવાઈ ફ્લેટ અને સામાન્ય ઘટાડે બંધ થયા હતા. વૈશ્વિક બજારોમાં ભારે વધ ઘટના પગલે સેન્સેક્સ ઇન્ટ્રા ડેમાં તેના ટોચના સ્તરેથી ૧૫૦ પોઈન્ટ જેટલો ઘટ્યો હતો અને નિફ્ટીએ પણ ઇન્ટ્રા ડેમાં ૪૯૫૦નું સ્તર ચકાસ્યું હતું અને સહેજ બહેતર બની બંધ થયો હતો. આજે સવારે તેજી દરમિયાન યુરોપના બજારો નીચે આવતા ટ્રેડરોએ નફો બૂક કરતા બજારો ઘટાડે બંધ થયા હતા. આજે ઓઈલ - ગેસ અને કન્ઝ્યુમર ડ્યુરેબલ્સ સેક્ટર્સમાં સામાન્ય ખરીદી જોવા મળી હતી પણ મેટલ સેક્ટર સાથે ઓટો, એફએમસીજી, પાવર, રિયલ્ટી, બેન્કિંગ, હેલ્થકેર, પીએસયુ, ટેકનોલોજી, આઈટી અને કેપિટલ ગુડ્સ સેક્ટર્સ તૂટ્યા હતા. આજે વધેલા શેર્સમાં મુખ્યત્વે, એક્સીસ બેન્ક, બોશ, બીપીસીએલ, કેનેરા બેન્ક, સિપ્લા, કોલગેટ, કમિન્સ, ડીએલએફ, હેવલ્સ, એચસીએલ ટેક., આઈડીએફસી, કોટક મહિન્દ્ર બેન્ક, મહિન્દ્ર એન્ડ મહિન્દ્ર, એમ્ફસીસ, નેવેલી લિગ્નાઈટ, ઓએનજીસી, સન ટીવી, તાતા ગ્લોબલ, ટીસીએસ, થર્મેક્સ, અલ્ટ્રાટેક, વિપ્રો અને યસ બેન્કનો સમાવેશ થતો હતો. ઘટેલા શેર્સમાં મુખ્યત્વે, અશોક લેલેન્ડ, બાટા ઇન્ડિયા, ગોદરેજ કન્ઝ્યુમર, હીરો મોટો, આઈસીઆઈસીઆઇ બેન્ક, જીન્દાલ સ્ટીલ, એલઆઈસી હાઉસિંગ, લુપીન, મારુતિ, પીએનબી, રેનબક્સી અને એસબીઆઇનો સમાવેશ થતો હતો. ટ્રેડીંગ પૂરું થયું ત્યારે સેન્સેક્સ તેના પાછલા બંધથી ૫૯.૫૩ પોઈન્ટ ઘટી ૧૬૪૨૦.૦૫ પોઈન્ટ અને નિફ્ટી ૯.૧૦ પોઈન્ટ ઘટી ૪૯૬૫.૭૦ પોઈન્ટ ઉપર બંધ થયા હતા
Market Updates :
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals spurted 7.08% to Rs 363.80, with the stock extending Wednesday's 3.03% gains triggered by the company reporting strong Q4 earnings.
IT company Hexaware Technologies rose 5.46% to Rs 120.70. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals rose 3.98% to Rs 69.30.
FMCG company Britannia Industries rose 3.94% to Rs 554. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company will announce year ended March 2012 results on 28 May 2012.
Stock With Volumes :
Hatsun Agro Product clocked volume of 6.26 lakh shares by 12:57 IST on BSE, a 262.42-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 2,000 shares. The stock fell 0.95% to Rs 78.60.
Bajaj Holdings & Investment notched up volume of 1.30 lakh shares, a 37.33-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock lost 0.01% to Rs 803.
Page Industries clocked volume of 20,000 shares, a 29.03-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock rose 0.42% to Rs 2,948.
Manappuram Finance clocked volume of 89.89 lakh shares, a 9.75-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 9.22 lakh shares. The stock lost 0.48% to Rs 20.60.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals clocked volume of 2.99 lakh shares, a 6.62-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 45,000 shares. The stock jumped 6.45% to Rs 361.65, withthe stock extending Wednesday's 3.03% gains triggered by the company reporting strong Q4 earnings. The stock hit a high of Rs 364.40 so far during the day, which is a 52-week high for the counter
