Nifty in narrow range; BPCL up 2% on fuel price hike hopes
Indian shares remained in a range around their previous closing values as investors awaited the decision of Federal Reserve. Expectations have been mounted that Fed will announce economic stimulus or bond buying programme to boost the economy.
सुस्ती पर बंद बाजार, अहम फैसलों का इंतजार
अमेरिका में राहत पैकेज और पेट्रोल-डीजल की कीमत पर फैसला होने से पहले बाजार छोटे दायरे में दिखे। हालांकि, सेंसेक्स 18000 के ऊपर बंद होने में कामयाब रहा। कारोबार के दौरान निफ्टी 5400 के ऊपर बना रहा।
सेंसेक्स 14 अंक चढ़कर 18014 और निफ्टी 2 अंक चढ़कर 5433 पर बंद हुए। दिग्गजों के मुकाबले छोटे और मझौले शेयरों में ज्यादा बिकवाली नजर आई। निफ्टी मिडकैप 1 फीसदी से ज्यादा टूटा। बीएसई स्मॉलकैप में 0.2 फीसदी कमजोरी आई।

FDI hopes boost aviation stocks, Kingfisher Airlines (up 5.36%), SpiceJet (up 4.59%) and Jet Airways India (up 2.22%), edged higher. Three aviation shares roses on BSE on reports the Union Cabinet will consider a proposal on Friday, 14 September 2012, to allow foreign airlines to buy stakes in local carriers.
Redington (India) jumps after tie-up with Rising Star Games, Redington (India) surged 2.61% to Rs 72.70 on BSE after the company said it has tied up with Rising Star Games as an exclusive national distributor for the latter's gaming titles for xbox 360 & PS 3.
Panacea Biotec gallops 45% in 3 days, Panacea Biotec was locked at 10% upper circuit at Rs 129.70 on BSE, with the stock extending 2-day 31.93% rally triggered by the company announcing entering into strategic alliance with Osmotica Pharmaceutical.
Organised retailers drop on reform doubts, Store One Retail India (down 3.98%), V2 Retail (down 1.87%), Pantaloon Retail India (down 2.35%), Koutons Retail India (down 0.92%) and Shoppers Stop (down 1.10%), edged lower. Five organised retailers fell after the commerce minister said a proposal to open multi-brand retail to foreign direct investment was not on the agenda of the government's cabinet meeting on Friday, 14 September 2012.
Radico Khaitan drops after 8-day 13.6% rally, Radico Khaitan fell 3.62% to Rs 117.30 on BSE, with the stock sliding on profit booking after 8-day 13.68% rally.

Volumes jump at Kemrock Industries & Exports counter, Fiem Industries, TV18 Broadcast, Videocon Industries, and Symphony are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE, 13 September 2012.
Kemrock Industries & Exports clocked volume of 14.01 lakh shares on BSE, a 455.53-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock was locked at 5% upper circuit at Rs 77.30.
Fiem Industries notched up volume of 5.67 lakh shares, a 15.72-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 21,000 shares. The stock jumped 7.84% to Rs 202.95.
TV18 Broadcast clocked volume of 60.30 lakh shares, a 13.05-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.09 lakh shares. The stock surged 12.27% to Rs 24.25.
Videocon Industries clocked volume of 13.61 lakh shares, a 8.76-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.19 lakh shares. The stock rose 1.06% to Rs 180.90.
Symphony clocked volume of 2.07 lakh shares, a 8.22-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 18,000 shares. The stock surged 8.78% to Rs 410.60.
