Sensex closes 80 pts down, power discom meet eyed
After stunning performance of the market on Friday, investors opted for profit booking Monday. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 79.49 points to close at 18,673.34, which rallied over 400 points on Friday after Mulayam Singh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party decided to support the Congress-led UPA government.
कमजोरी पर बंद बाजार, सेंसेक्स 79 अंक गिरा
पिछले हफ्ते की तेज रफ्तार के बाद बाजार सुस्ताते नजर आए। साथ ही, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजारों से भी मजबूती गायब रहने से घरेलू बाजार निराश दिखे। सेंसेक्स 79 अंक गिरकर 18673 और निफ्टी 21 अंक गिरकर 5670 पर बंद हुए।
दिग्गजों के मुकाबले छोटे और मझौले शेयरों में ज्यादा खरीदारी नजर आई। बीएसई स्मॉलकैप 0.8 फीसदी चढ़ा। वहीं, मुनाफावसूली के बाद भी निफ्टी मिडकैप 0.3 फीसदी मजबूत हुए।
बाजार की नजरें कैबिनेट की बैठक पर टिकी रही। बैठक में पावर डिस्ट्रिब्यूशन कंपनियों और इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर सेक्टर के लिए अहम फैसले होने की उम्मीद है। इस वजह से पावर, कैपिटल गुड्स, इंफ्रा शेयर करीब 1.7-0.7 फीसदी चढ़े।
कर्ज सस्ता होने का सिलसिला शुरू होने से रियल्टी शेयर 1.5 फीसदी मजबूत हुए। कंज्यूमर ड्यूरेबल्स, ऑटो, बैंक शेयरों में भी 0.9-0.5 फीसदी की तेजी आई। मेटल शेयरों में 0.3 फीसदी की बढ़त दिखी।
एफएमसीजी और ऑयल एंड गैस शेयर 1.5 फीसदी टूटे। पीएसयू, तकनीकी, हेल्थकेयर, आईटी शेयर 0.5-0.3 फीसदी गिरे।

Realty shares in demand, DLF (up 2.44%), Anant Raj Industries (up 3.25%), Peninsula Land (up 4.89%), Prestige Estates Projects (up 7.95%), Sobha Developers (up 1.74%), Phoenix Mills (up 0.72%), Godrej Properties (up 2.67%), Parsvnath Developers (up 1.12%), Oberoi Realty (up 1.70%), Orbit Corporation (up 2.61%), Unitech (up 3.15%), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 4.72%) and HDIL (up 4.52%), edged higher. Shares of 13 realty shares rose by 0.72% to 7.95% at 12:02 IST on BSE as investors bet that retail real estate will get a boost from the entry of foreign supermarket chains in the country !
Sugar shares sweeten, Shree Renuka Sugar (up 3.85%), Oudh Sugar Mills (up 4.32%), Sakthi Sugars (up 9.03%), Simbhaoli Sugar Mills (up 2.37%), Dhampur Sugar Mills (up 4.68%), Bajaj Hindusthan (up 4.67%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries (up 5.64%) and Balrampur Chini Mills (up 3.82%) edged higher. Eight sugar shares rose by 2.37% to 9.03% by 12:58 IST on BSE on buzz the government may today announce reduction in subsidy on sugar made available to below-poverty-line consumers
Stock With Volumes :
Volumes jump at Oberoi Realty counter, Tulip Telecom, Shriram Transport Finance Company, Crompton Greaves and ING Vysya Bank are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE, 24 September 2012.
Oberoi Realty clocked volume of 16.38 lakh shares by 13:38 IST on BSE, a 301.09-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,439 shares. The stock jumped 10.31% to Rs 256.80. Two bulk deals aggregating to 14.25 lakh shares were struck on the counter at an average price of Rs 236.63 per share at 12:04 IST on the BSE, 24 September 2012.
Tulip Telecom notched up volume of 13.12 lakh shares, a 37.39-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 35,000 shares. The stock was frozen at 5% lower circuit filter at Rs 51.45.
Shriram Transport Finance Company saw volume of 1.03 lakh shares, a 17.64-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,837 shares. The stock rose 0.45% to Rs 624.05
Crompton Greaves clocked volume of 15.50 lakh shares, a 5.41-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.86 shares. The stock surged 6.44% to Rs 124.80
ING Vysya Bank saw volume of 1.53 lakh shares, a 5.35-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 29,000 shares. The stock rose 0.97% to Rs 396.20.
