Volatile Nifty slips into red; M&M tops buying list
Indian equity benchmarks erased all its gains, weighed down by further fall in Infosys and State Bank of India that dropped nearly 1.5 percent. Reliance Industries and ONGC too extended losses, losing 0.57 percent each.
सुस्ती पर बंद बाजार, मिडकैप लुढ़के
पूरे दिन उतार-चढ़ाव भरे कारोबार के बाद बाजार सपाट स्तरों पर बंद हुए। सेंसेक्स 10 अंक गिरकर 18329 और निफ्टी बिना किसी बदलाव के 5571 पर बंद हुए।
लगातार तीसरे कारोबारी सत्र में मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप शेयरों की जमकर पिटाई हुई। निफ्टी मिडकैप इंडेक्स 1.25 फीसदी टूटा। बीएसई स्मॉलकैप इंडेक्स 1 फीसदी लुढ़का।
बाजार की गिरावट में सबसे बड़ा हाथ रियल्टी शेयरों का रहा और बीएसई रियल्टी इंडेक्स शेयर 3 फीसदी टूटा। ऑयल एंड गैस और मेटल शेयरों में करीब 1 फीसदी की गिरावट आई।
कैपिटल गुड्स, तकनीकी, पीएसयू, एफएमसीजी, आईटी शेयर 0.5-0.3 फीसदी कमजोर हुए। पावर, बैंक, हेल्थकेयर, कंज्यूमर ड्यूरेबल्स शेयरों में ठंडा कारोबार रहा। ऑटो शेयर 0.6 फीसदी चढ़े।

Sensex trims losses amid volatility in late trade
High volatility was witnessed during the last one hour or so of trade as key benchmark indices recovered after hitting fresh intraday low. The barometer index, BSE Sensex, recovered after hitting its lowest level in over 9-1/2 weeks. The 50-unit S&P CNX Nifty regained positive zone after hitting its lowest level in 6-1/2 weeks. The Sensex was provisionally down 9.74 points or 0.05%, up about 75 points from the day's low and off about 140 points from the day's high. The market breadth was weak. Index heavyweight and cigarette maker ITC dropped. Another index heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL) extended losses in late trade.
Realty stocks slumped. Pharma major Lupin rose after the company said its subsidiary Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc. has launched its Fenofibrate Tablets, 48 mg and 145 mg strengths in the United States. Capital goods stocks extended recent losses. Telecom stocks dropped.
From the 30-share Sensex pack, 16 stocks declined while the rest of them rose.
Among other capital goods stocks, Siemens, BEML, Bhel, Thermax and Punj Lloyd shed by between 0.42% to 1.6%.
Stock With Volumes :
Volumes jump at Zylog Systems counter, Whirlpool of India, Eicher Motors, Heritage Foods (India), and HT Media are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 20 November 2012.
Zylog Systems clocked volume of 64 lakh shares  on BSE, a 377.45-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 15,000 shares. The stock surged to Rs 69.10.
Whirlpool of India notched up volume of 6.31 lakh shares, a 52.49-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock lost 0.63% to Rs 249.80
Eicher Motors saw volume of 1.24 lakh shares, a 23.86-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock rose 1.97% to Rs 2,3758.10.
Heritage Foods (India) clocked volume of 3.74 lakh shares, a 8.7-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 26,000 shares. The stock surged 20% to Rs 500.30. The stock hit a record high of Rs 500.30 in the intraday trade today, 20 November 2012.
HT Media saw volume of 11.17 lakh shares, a 7.5-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.48 lakh shares. The stock closed at rs. 99.35.
