Volumes jump at Torrent Pharmaceuticals counter, Sanofi India, D B Corp, Shree Cement, and Shriram Transport Finance Company are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 1 April 2013.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals clocked volume of 1.98 lakh shares by 13:38 IST on BSE, a 180.97-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock lost 1.47% at Rs 685.
Sanofi India notched up volume of 50,000 shares, a 110.83-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 451 shares. The stock lost 0.46% at Rs 2,570.
D B Corp saw volume of 5.01 lakh shares, a 106.87-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock lost 0.46% at Rs 225.30.
Shree Cement clocked volume of 46,000 shares, a 101.13-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 450 shares. The stock rose 2.88% at Rs 4,175.
Shriram Transport Finance Company saw volume of 2.88 lakh shares, a 22.59-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock rose 1.92% to Rs 709.15 after two block deals aggregating 2.83 lakh shares were executed on BSE at Rs 695.45 per share at 9:39 IST. One block deal was of 1.89 lakh shares while the other was of 94,509 shares. The two block deals constitute 0.12% of Shriram Transport Finance Company's equity.
