Bhel slumps almost 5% on FPO pricing worries.

Index heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL) and state-run power equipment major Bharat Heavy Electricals (Bhel) led declined on the domestic bourses triggered by political worries caused by nine ruling Congress party MPs from Andhra Pradesh resigning on Monday, 4 July 2011, to press their demands for a separate state of Telangana, reducing the government's majority in parliament.

MOIL, Tata Communications, Castrol India and Ashok Leyland are among the other gainers.

Infrastructure projects developer BF Utilities spurted 9.17% to Rs 769.25. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.

State-run manganese miner MOIL jumped 5.17% to Rs 356.75. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Telecommunication services provider Tata Communications jumped 4.38% to Rs 219.05. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Automobile lubricants maker Castrol India galloped 4.31% to Rs 576.80. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a record high of Rs 588.35 in intraday trade today, 5 July 2011.

Commercial vehicles maker Ashok Leyland rose 3.83% to Rs 51.55 after the company's total vehicle sales surged 39.9% to 8,009 units in June 2011 over May 2011. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
