Choppy market: Experts warn pre-Budget rally is over
It was a volatile session of trade on Dalal Street as indices were disappointed by weak GDP data. Capital goods index were the biggest draggers. Banks and autos too fuelled the slide. The Nifty lost quite a bit of ground from highs of 5450. It finally closed flat at 5385 up 10 points. Sensex too saw some major cuts but closed 21 points up at 17752.
Most experts feel that the market is likely to be volatile till Budget. According to Ambareesh Baliga, COO, best of pre-Budget days are over and may even slip to 5200-5225. However, the only hope for the market to see some upside will be if the UP election results are favourable.
