Range bound session: Will only earnings rescue market ?
It was a range bound session as the market took its time to digest the RBI rate cut and map out the road ahead. The Nifty gained just 10 points to close at 5,300 while the Sensex shut shop with a 34 point gain, at 17,400.
Outlook for Indian market is grim as most analyst feel post credit policy, only fourth earnings may rescue the market. Earnings too is unlikely to be encouraging as most experts are worried about.
Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri IPO opens on 24 April 2012,  IPO price band of Rs 120 to Rs 126, Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri (TBZ), a jewellery retailer in India, is entering the capital markets on 24 April 2012, with an initial public offering (IPO) of 1.67 crore shares. The company has fixed an IPO price band of Rs 120 to Rs 126. The issue will constitute 25% of the post-issue paid-up capital of the company. The issue will close on 26 April 2012. !

Market Updates :
Bhushan Steel galloped 8.57% to Rs 429. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.
Television broadcaster Sun TV Network climbed 6.86% to Rs 303. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Pharmaceutical company Wockhardt jumped 5.40% to Rs 666.20. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a record high of Rs 675 in intraday today, 18 April 2012.
FMCG company Godrej Consumer Products rose 5.31% to Rs 514.65. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a record high of Rs 531 in intraday today, 18 April 2012. The company will announced its year ended March 2012 results on 30 April 2012.
Pharmaceutical company Ipca Laboratories rose 5.19% to Rs 349.55. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a record high of Rs 353.05 in intraday today, 18 April 2012.
Stock With Volumes :
Jagran Prakashan clocked volume of 7.05 lakh shares by 13:25 IST on BSE, a 60.76-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock lost 0.05% to Rs 100.45.
Karur Vysya Bank notched up volume of 27.21 lakh shares, a 19.43-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.40 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.13% to Rs 391.70.
Escorts clocked volume of 51.35 lakh shares, a 16.3-fold rise over two-week average dailyvolume of 3.15 lakh shares. The stock rose 3.2% to Rs 77.45.
Nesco clocked volume of 1.40 lakh shares, a 11.62-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock jumped 6.28% to Rs 719.95.
IPCA Laboratories clocked volume of 2.74 lakh shares, a 10.21-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 27,000 shares. The stock surged 5.33% to Rs 350.
