Sensex closes 129 pts lower on profit booking, global cues
बाजार 0.75% टूटे, 5300 के नीचे बंद निफ्टी
कमजोर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संकेत और पहली तिमाही के नतीजे खराब रहने की आशंका से बाजार फिसले। सेंसेक्स 129 अंक गिरकर 17392 और निफ्टी 42 अंक गिरकर 5275 पर बंद हुए।
शेयर बाजार के लिए हफ्ते की शुरुआत काफी खराब रही। सेंसेक्स-निफ्टी करीब 1 फीसदी गिरे और निफ्टी 5300 के नीचे फिसला। दिग्गजों के साथ-साथ छोटे-मझौले शेयर भी 1.25 फीसदी टूटे।
Indian equity benchmarks and the rupee fell on Monday following negative global cues. Investors remain worried about global economic growth after sluggish US jobs data and China's inflation fell to 29-month low. Even the Ketan Parekh's stock market scam news also dampened the sentiment.
The profit booking may be another reason behind today's sell-off. The BSE benchmark dropped 129.14 points to close at 17391.98 and the NSE benchmark slipped 41.80 points to 5,275.15.

Manappuram Finance leads gainers in 'A' group
Engineers India, Wockhardt, Jaypee Infratech and Indraprastha Gas are among the other gainers.
Non-banking financial services company Manappuram Finance jumped 5.83% to Rs 32.70. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.
State-run Engineers India rose 4.51% to Rs 238.60 after the company said after market hours on Friday, 6 July 2012, that it has secured a consultancy services contract worth Rs 720 crore from BPCL for its integrated refinery expansion project in Kochi. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Pharmaceutical company Wockhardt rose 4.42% to Rs 924.05 on bargain hunting after the stock fell 5.58% in the preceding six sessions to Rs 884.90 on 6 July 2012, from a recent high of Rs 937.20 on 28 June 2012. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Infrastructure company Jaypee Infratech rose 1.91% to Rs 55.90. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Piped gas distributor Indraprastha Gas rose 1.82% to Rs 246.20 on reports the company raised prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) by Rs 2.90 per kilogram (kg) in Delhi and Rs 3.30 per kg in neighbouring areas because of rising input cost, rupee depreciation and recent hike in electricity rates. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Volumes jump at Globus Spirits counter
Walchandnagar Industries, Dewan Housing Finance Corporation, SKS Microfinance and Multi Commodity Exchange of India are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 9 July 2012.
Globus Spirits clocked volume of 5.96 lakh shares by 13:21 IST on BSE, a 23.72-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 25,000 shares. The stock jumped 15.29% to Rs 113.50.
Walchandnagar Industries notched up volume of 16.91 lakh shares, a 9.38-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.80 lakh shares. The stock surged 4.64% to Rs 98.
Dewan Housing Finance Corporation clocked volume of 5.25 lakh shares, a 7.15-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 73,000 shares. The stock fell 12.44% to Rs 160.15.
SKS Microfinance clocked volume of 34.24 lakh shares, a 5.43-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6.31 lakh shares. The stock jumped 10.43% to Rs 93.70.
Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) notched up volume of 1.11 lakh shares, a 1.9-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 50,000 shares. The stock rose 3.6% to Rs 1,157.
