दोपहर के बाद बाजार ने अच्छी रिकवरी दिखाई और करीब 0.5 फीसदी मजबूत हुए। सेंसेक्स 76 अंक चढ़कर 17633 और निफ्टी 28 अंक चढ़कर 5349 पर बंद हुए। मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप शेयर भी 0.5 फीसदी चढ़े।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजारों से साफ संकेत न मिलने की वजह से घरेलू बाजारों ने सुस्ती के साथ शुरुआत की। इसके बाद बाजार उतार-चढ़ाव के साथ सीमित दायरे में घूमते नजर आए।

United Spirits leads gainers in 'A' group
United Breweries, Housing Development and Infrastructure, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation and Lanco Infratech are among the other gainers.
Shares of Vijay Mallya-promoted United Breweries (UB) Group companies--United Breweries, Kingfisher Airlines, United Breweries Holdings and United Spirits--rallied on 13 August 2012.
Liquor maker United Spirits spurted 11.87% to Rs 922.35. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.
Beer maker United Breweries jumped 9.54% to Rs 569.20 after net profit jumped 38.9% to Rs 98.64 crore on 28.7% growth in net sales to Rs 1225.82 crore in Q1 June 2012 over Q1 June 2011. The company announced the results after market hours on Friday, 10 August 2012. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.
United Breweries said the Q1 June 2012 results include the operations of Millennium Beer Industries (MBIL), United Millennium Breweries (UMBL), UB Nizam Breweries (UBNB), Chennai Breweries (CBPL) and UB Ajanta Breweries (UBA) consequent to the merger of these entities into the company, and the results are therefore not comparable with the results of Q1 June 2011. The merger of Scottish & Newcastle India (SNIPL) is progressing as planned and expected to be completed in FY 2013, UBL added.
Real estate developer Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL) jumped 5.99% to Rs 85.85. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company will consider Q1 June 2012 results on Tuesday, 14 August 2012.
Gujarat government-owned miner Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation rose 4.32% to Rs 200.40. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Power and infrastructure company Lanco Infratech rose 3.94% to Rs 12.92 ahead of the company's Q1 June 2012 result announcement today, 13 August 2012. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Volumes jump at Shriram Transport Finance Company counter
Videocon Industries, Vikas WSP, BPCL, and ONGC are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 13 August 2012.
Shriram Transport Finance Company clocked volume of 1.02 lakh shares by 13:16 IST on BSE, a 17.93-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 6,000 shares. The stock rose 0.02% to Rs 566.
Videocon Industries notched up volume of 6.15 lakh shares, a 12.19-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 50,000 shares. The stock rose 0.71% to Rs 169.75.
Vikas WSP clocked volume of 28.97 lakh shares, a 3.17-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 9.14 lakh shares. The stock jumped 7.19% to Rs 70.80.
BPCL clocked volume of 1.92 lakh shares, a 2.78-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 69,000 shares. The stock rose 0.5% to Rs 353.85.
ONGC notched up volume of 2.95 lakh shares, a 2.62-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.13 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.57% to Rs 280.90.
ONGC's net profit jumped 48.4% to Rs 6077.70 crore on 24% growth in net sales to Rs 20084.33 crore in Q1 June 2012 over Q1 June 2011. The result was announced on Saturday, 11 August 2012.
