Sensex ends 110 pts down; Rupee dips 2% in 2-day, ITC up 2%
Indian shares reversed their previous day’s gains due to profit booking and sharp fall in the currency. Stocks, which pushed the Sensex 181 points higher yesterday, like banking & financials, infrastructure, realty, metals and auto saw selling pressure.
सेंसेक्स 110 अंक टूटा, 5700 के निफ्टी
खराब अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संकेत और मुनाफावसूली के दबाव में बाजार 0.5 फीसदी लुढ़के। सेंसेक्स 110 अंक गिरकर 18682 और निफ्टी 34 अंक गिरकर 5684 पर बंद हुए। मिडकैप शेयर 1 फीसदी टूटे। स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में 0.3 फीसदी की कमजोरी आई।
पावर, मेटल, कैपिटल गुड्स, ऑटो और बैंक शेयर 1.5-1 फीसदी लुढ़के। ऑयल एंड गैस, पीएसयू, रियल्टी, हेल्थकेयर, आईटी, तकनीकी शेयर 0.8-0.2 फीसदी गिरे। एफएमसीजी 0.8 फीसदी और कंज्यूमर ड्यूरेबल्स 0.4 फीसदी मजबूत हुए।

STOCK VOLUMES :
Volumes jump at Hatsun Agro Product counter
Persistent Systems, Sunteck Realty, Astrazeneca Pharma India, and VST Industries are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 19 October 2012.
Hatsun Agro Product clocked volume of 34.93 lakh shares by 13:14 IST on BSE, a 903.7-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock surged 16.18% to Rs 95.50.
Persistent Systems notched up volume of 1.21 lakh shares, a 32.06-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock surged 7.56% to Rs 460.
Sunteck Realty notched up volume of 1.88 lakh shares, a 11.36-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 17,000 shares. The stock fell 0.25% to Rs 318.20.
Astrazeneca Pharma India saw volume of 39,000 shares, a 9.73-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock rose 1.65% to Rs 1,651.05.
VST Industries clocked volume of 79,000 shares, a 7-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 11,000 shares. The stock fell 1.11% to Rs 1,825
