Sensex takes a breather amid dull newsflow
It was yet another day of consolidation for the market. The benchmark index BSE Sensex took a breather and closed above 18850 mark. Cement stocks continue to strengthen its upward journey. Heavyweight like Ambuja Cement, ACC and JP Associates closed with hefty gains.
मजबूती पर बंद बाजार, स्मॉलकैप 1% चढ़े
मिले-जुले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संकेत और देश से जुड़ी किसी बड़ी खबर से अभाव से बाजार सीमित दायरे में रहे। सेंसेक्स 46 अंक चढ़कर 18870 और निफ्टी 12 अंक चढ़कर 5731 पर बंद हुए।
दिग्गजों के मुकाबले छोटे और मझौले शेयरों का बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन लगातार जारी रहा। निफ्टी मिडकैप 0.75 फीसदी और बीएसई स्मॉलकैप 1 फीसदी चढ़े।
ऑयल एंड गैस शेयर 1 फीसदी उछले। पीएसयू, हेल्थकेयर, मेटल, कैपिटल गुड्स शेयरों में 0.6-0.4 फीसदी की तेजी आई। रियल्टी शेयर 0.2 फीसदी मजबूत हुए।
ऑटो, कंज्यूमर ड्यूरेबल्स, आईटी, तकनीकी, बैंक, पावर शेयरों में 0.4-0.1 फीसदी की गिरावट आई।

FMCG shares in demand
Nestle India (up 2.7%), Colgate-Palmolive (India) (up 1.86%), Dabur India (up 1.13%), Bajaj Corp (up 0.81%) and Jyothy Laboratories (up 0.51%), edged higher. Nine FMCG shares rose by 0.51% to 6.19% at 15:15 IST on BSE on favourable outlook for Rabi or winter crops due to moisture available in the soil following wide-spread rains in August and September.
Stock With Volumes :
Volumes jump at Lovable Lingerie counter, TTK Healthcare, West Coast Paper Mills, Jindal Cotex, and JM Financial are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 3 October 2012.
Lovable Lingerie clocked volume of 7.46 lakh shares by 13:12 IST on BSE, a 19.33-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 39,000 shares. The stock jumped 11.18% to Rs 368.
TTK Healthcare notched up volume of 2.67 lakh shares, a 15.92-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 17,000 shares. The stock surged 17.44% to Rs 464.40.
West Coast Paper Mills saw volume of 13.87 lakh shares, a 10.46-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.33 lakh shares. The stock jumped 17.68% to Rs 82.55.
Jindal Cotex clocked volume of 8.95 lakh shares, a 5.15-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.74 lakh shares. The stock rose 4.1% to Rs 58.35.
JM Financial saw volume of 42.54 lakh shares, a 3.21-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 13.25 lakh shares. The stock rose 2.99% to Rs 17.25.
