Sensex ends 61 pts up; Infosys, JP Asso, Ambuja top gainers
The NSE Nifty closed above the 5700 level for the second consecutive session on Monday, supported by positive European cues and appreciation in Indian rupee.
बाजार 0.3% ऊपर बंद, छोटे-मझौले चमके
जीएएआर टलने की उम्मीद और सरकार के सुधारों की ओर सकारात्मक रवैए से बाजार में भरोसा जागा। सेंसेक्स 61 अंक चढ़कर 18824 और निफ्टी 15 अंक चढ़कर 5719 पर बंद हुए।
छोटे और मझौले शेयरों में जोरदार तेजी आई। निवेशकों का रुझान छोटे और मझौले शेयरों की ओर बरकरार है। निफ्टी मिडकैप 1 फीसदी और बीएसई स्मॉलकैप करीब 1.5 फीसदी चढ़े।
आईटी और तकनीकी शेयर 2-1.5 फीसदी उछले। कैपिटल गुड्स, ऑटो, पावर, हेल्थकेयर, एफएमसीजी, मेटल, कंज्यूमर ड्यूरेबल्स, पीएसयू शेयर 0.7-0.3 फीसदी मजबूत हुए। रियल्टी शेयरों में हल्की तेजी आई।
कच्चे तेल में गिरावट की वजह से ऑयल एंड गैस शेयर 0.25 फीसदी कमजोर हुए। बैंक शेयरों पर भी दबाव नजर आया।

IT shares in demand on renewed buying
Infosys (up 1.89%), Rolta India (up 1.45%), TCS (up 0.64%), Wipro (up 0.45%), HCL Technologies (up 0.33%) and MphasiS (up 0.31%), edged higher. Nine IT shares rose by 3.93% to 0.31% at 12:40 IST on BSE on renewed buying after recent declines.

Volumes jump at Emami counter
Shree Cement, Tulip Telecom, Bilcare and Petronet LNG are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 1 October 2012.
Emami clocked volume of 5.16 lakh shares by 13:18 IST on BSE, a 98.40-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock rose 2.23% to Rs 508.
Shree Cement notched up volume of 15,000 shares, a 16.19-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock jumped 4.63% to Rs 4,137.15.
Tulip Telecom saw volume of 25.15 lakh shares, a 3.63-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6.92 lakh shares. The stock fell 2.16% to Rs 45.40.
Bilcare clocked volume of 6.32 lakh shares, a 3.39-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.87 lakh shares. The stock spurted 12.52% to Rs 230.15.
Petronet LNG saw volume of 5.54 lakh shares, a 3-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.85 lakh shares. The stock advanced 2.12% to Rs 161.10.
