Nifty ends higher at 5700; auto, FMCG, power gain
Indian Equities ended higher. It was a strong start to the October series as the NSE Nifty closed about its psychological 5700 mark. Strong buying was seen in auto, metal, power and FMCG stocks.
सेंसेक्स 183 अंक चढ़ा, 5700 के ऊपर निफ्टी
मजबूत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संकेतों के दम पर बाजार ने अक्टूबर सीरीज की शुरुआत जोश के साथ की। सेंसेक्स 183 अंक चढ़कर 18763 और निफ्टी 54 अंक चढ़कर 5703 पर बंद हुए। मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में 1.6-0.8 फीसदी की तेजी आई।
यूरोप और चीन में हालात सुधरने से मांग बढ़ने की उम्मीद से ऑटो शेयर करीब 2 फीसदी उछले। कंज्यूमर ड्यूरेबल्स, एफएमसीजी, पावर, मेटल, ऑयल एंड गैस शेयर 1.5-1 फीसदी चढ़े।
शुरुआती कारोबार में दबाव में रहे हेल्थकेयर शेयरों ने कारोबार के आखिर में रफ्तार पकड़ी और 1.25 फीसदी मजबूत हुए। रुपये में जोरदार तेजी के बावजूद आईटी और तकनीकी शेयर करीब 0.75 फीसदी की बढ़त पाने में कामयाब रहे।

Metal shares track strength in industrial metal prices, JSW Steel (up 3.18%), Jindal Steel & Power (up 0.68%), Tata Steel (up 1.50%), Hindustan Zinc (up 2.72%), Sterlite Industries India (up 1.94%), Sesa Goa (up 1.26%), National Aluminium Company (up 1.08%) and Hindalco Industries (up 3.82%) edged higher. Sail fell 0.23%. Eight metal stocks rose by 0.68% to 3.82% at 14:58 IST on BSE as LMEX, a gauge of six metals traded on the London Metal Exchange gained 1.01% on Thursday, 27 September 2012.
Auto stocks in demand ahead of September monthly sales figures, Tata Motors (up 4.06%), Ashok Leyland (up 0.84%), Escorts (up 2.55%), Maruti Suzuki India (up 1.99%), Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) (up 1.46%) gained. Seven auto stocks rose by 0.31% to 4.06% at 13:24 IST on BSE as companies from this sector will start unveiling vehicle sales data for September from 1 October 2012.
Stock With Volumes :
Volumes jump at Vardhman Textiles counter, Tulip Telecom, Oracle Financial Services Software, Tata Global Beverages and Karnataka Bank are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE, 28 September 2012.
Vardhman Textiles clocked volume of 2.52 lakh shares by 14:15 IST on BSE, a 54.04-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock rose 0.40% to Rs 240.90
Tulip Telecom notched up volume of 38.96 lakh shares, a 15.01-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.60 lakh shares. The stock was locked in 5% upper circuit at Rs 46.40.
Oracle Financial Services Software saw volume of 80,000 shares, a 10.45-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock rose 1.69% to Rs 3,010.
Tata Global Beverages clocked volume of 14.88 lakh shares, a 6.94-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.15 lakh shares. The stock surged 7.02% to Rs 141.10
Karnataka Bank saw volume of 24.36 lakh shares, a 6.36-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 3.83 lakh shares. The stock jumped 5.36% to Rs 108.05
