Sensex, Nifty end flat; charts say mkt in overbought state
Indian shares recovered from the day's low to provisionally end flat on Monday led by a rally in public sector banks on hopes that legislation on banking sector reforms would be passed during the current session of parliament. The consequent changes would lead to the issue of new banking licenses.

M&M Financial Services leads gainers in 'A' group, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Corporation Bank, Federal Bank and Adani Power are among the other gainers.
Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services rose 5.66% to Rs 1,055.45. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. The stock hit a record high of Rs 1,117.10 in intraday today, 10 December 2012.
Oriental Bank of Commerce rose 5.33% to Rs 364.70. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 367.50 in intraday today, 10 December 2012. The Government of India (GoI) holds 58% stake in Oriental Bank of Commerce as per the shareholding pattern as on 30 September 2012.
Corporation Bank rose 5.12% to Rs 450.05. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. GoI holds 58.52% stake in Corporation Bank as per the shareholding pattern as on 30 September 2012.
Federal Bank rose 4.93% to Rs 505.80. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a record high of Rs 511.90 in intraday today, 10 December 2012.
Adani Power rose 4.83% to Rs 60.80. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Volumes jump at Piramal Glass counter, Indusind Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, Bajaj Auto and TTK Healthcare are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 10 December 2012.
Piramal Glass clocked volume of 11.47 lakh shares by 12:58 IST on BSE, a 139.26-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock rose 3.49% to Rs 91.95.
Indusind Bank notched up volume of 6.55 lakh shares, a 6.72-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 97,000 shares. The stock rose 1.09% to Rs 415.90.
Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services saw volume of 1.10 lakh shares, a 6.54-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 17,000 shares. The stock jumped 6.32% to Rs 1,062. The stock hit a record high of Rs 1,080 in intraday today, 10 December 2012.
Bajaj Auto clocked volume of 1.32 lakh shares, a 4.46-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 30,000 shares. The stock rose 0.86% to Rs 1,956.30.
TTK Healthcare saw volume of 2.69 lakh shares, a 3.73-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 72,000 shares. The stock spurted 9.96% to Rs 531.80. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 544.40 in intraday today, 10 December 2012.
