Sensex, Nifty close flat; ICICI, Axis up on RBI policy eve
Benchmarks Sensex and Nifty rolled out a dull trading day, void of any action. The 30-share BSE Sensex and 50-share NSE Nifty closed absolutely flat at 20103.35 and 6074.85 respectively.

Auto, realty stocks build on rate cut expectations
The total turnover on the BSE amounted to Rs 1998 crore, lower than Rs 2363.58 crore on Friday, 25 January 2013.
The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was positive. On BSE, 1,530 shares rose and 1,323 shares fell. A total of 115 shares were unchanged.
Among the 30-share Sensex pack, 15 rose while the rest of them fell.
Stock With Volumes :
Volumes jump at Lakshmi Machine Works counter, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company, Everonn Education, Nitin Fire Protection Industries, and Uttam Galva Steels are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 28 January 2013.
Lakshmi Machine Works notched up volume of 2.17 lakh shares by 13:04 IST on BSE, a 76.14-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock lost 3.27% to Rs 2,150 after net profit declined 48.65% to Rs 20.36 crore on 27.52% decline in net sales to Rs 376.81 crore in Q3 December 2012 over Q3 December 2011. The result was announced after market hours on Friday, 25 January 2013.
Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company saw volume of 3.10 lakh shares, a 9.31-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 33,000 shares. The stock rose 0.17% at Rs 272.90.
Everonn Education clocked volume of 7.81 lakh shares, a 6.65-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.18 lakh shares. The stock jumped 12.42% to Rs 104.10.
Nitin Fire Protection Industries clocked volume of 7.70 lakh shares, a 4.23-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.82 lakh shares. The stock jumped 14.53% to Rs 76.05.
Uttam Galva Steels saw volume of 8.49 lakh shares, a 3.65-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 2.32 lakh shares. The stock surged 10.85% at Rs 102.70.
