Equity benchmarks ended lower Friday, the fourth successive weekly loss as traders and investors refrained from major commitments ahead of the Budget.

Railways related stocks skid ahead of next week's Rail Budget
The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, turned negative from positive in late trade. On BSE, 1,492 shares declined and 1,414 shares gained. A total of 161 shares were unchanged. The breadth alternately moved between positive and negative zone throughout the trading session.
The total turnover on BSE amounted to Rs 1714 crore, lower than Rs 1958 crore on Thursday, 21 February 2013.
Among the 30-share Sensex pack, 16 stocks gained while the rest of them declined.
Stock With Volumes :
Volumes jump at Power Grid Corporation of India counter, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Glaxosmithkline Consumer Healthcare, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries and Infosys are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 22 February 2013.
Power Grid Corporation of India clocked volume of 20.94 lakh shares by 12:41 IST on BSE, a 5.54-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.78 lakh shares. The stock rose 1.73% to Rs 108.90.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals notched up volume of 1.39 lakh shares, a 4.51-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 31,000 shares. The stock rose 1.41% to Rs 509.
Glaxosmithkline Consumer Healthcare saw volume of 19,000 shares, a 3.05-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6,000 shares. The stock rose 1.49% to Rs 3,912. The stock hit a record high of Rs 4,334 in intraday today, 22 February 2013.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries clocked volume of 1.71 lakh shares, a 1.77-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 96,000 shares. The stock rose 2.05% to Rs 812.
Infosys saw volume of 76,000 shares, a 1.43-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 53,000 shares. The stock rose 1.22% to Rs 2,841.
