Sensex, Nifty end in green; Sebi to probe in midcap crash
Key equity benchmarks ended trade on Monday flat with a positive bias. The Sensex closed up 14.68 points at 19331.69, and the Nifty ended up 4.45 points at 5854.75.

HCL Tech scales 52-week high
The total turnover on BSE amounted to Rs 1919 crore, higher than Rs 1714 crore on Friday, 22 February 2013.
The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was weak. On BSE, 1,789 shares declined and advanced and 974 shares advanced. A total of 133 shares were unchanged.
Among the 30-share Sensex pack, 15 stocks gained while the rest of them declined.

Volumes jump at CORE Education & Technologies counter, Gareware Polyester, Eros International Media, Welspun Corp, and Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 25 February 2013.
CORE Education & Technologies clocked volume of 39.81 lakh shares by 13:48 IST on BSE, a 108.35-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 37,000 shares. The stock tumbled 58.68% to Rs 122. The stock hit 52-week low of Rs 103.60 in the intraday trade today, 25 February 2013.
Gareware Polyester notched up volume of 7.50 lakh shares, a 45.21-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 17,000 shares. The stock surged 5.93% to Rs 93.80.
Eros International Media saw volume of 15.21 lakh shares, a 17.67-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 86,000 shares. The stock tumbled 5.87% to Rs 182.
Welspun Corp clocked volume of 56.89 lakh shares, a 9.92-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5.74 lakh shares. The stock tumbled 10.98% to Rs 67.10.
Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services saw volume of 5.56 lakh shares, a 7.86-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 71,000 shares. The stock rose 2.54% to Rs 204.20.
