Sensex closes 110 pts lower on monsoon worries; IT tanks
निफ्टी 5200 के नीचे बंद; मेटल, आईटी शेयरों की पिटाई
बाजार ने इस हफ्ते की ढीली शुरुआत की और ज्यादातर समय कारोबार एक सीमित दायरे में ही होता दिखा। दोपहर बाद गिरावट बढ़ती दिखाई दी और अंत में सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी 0.75 फीसदी के आसपास की गिरावट के साथ बंद हुए। इंट्रा डे कारोबार में बाजार कुछ समय के लिए हरे निशान में भी आया लेकिन कुल मिलाकर बिकवाली का दबाव ही हावी रहा। महंगाई दर के आंकड़ों में कमी ने भी बाजार में कोई उम्मीद नहीं जगाई और अब एक बार फिर सबकी निगाहें 31 जुलाई की क्रेडिट पॉलिसी पर टिकी हैं। आईटी और मेटल शेयरों में आज सबसे ज्यादा बिकवाली का दबाव देखा गया।
The 30-share BSE Sensex fell more than 100 points on Monday as the market seems worried about monsoon, though the inflation eased in June compared to previous month.
The BSE benchmark was completely rangebound around its Friday's closing value since early trade, but it extended losses in last one hour of trade. Index fell 110.39 points to close at 17,103.31. Meanwhile, the NSE benchmark dropped below the 5200 to 5,197.25, down 30 points

Bharti Airtel leads gainers in 'A' group
Muthoot Finance, Lupin, Cadila Healthcare and Godrej Industries are among the other gainers.
Telecom services major Bharti Airtel rose 3.85% to Rs 319.65 on reports the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) is likely to meet on Wednesday, 18 July 2012, to discuss key issue of spectrum pricing. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group
Gold financing company Muthoot Finance rose 3.48% to Rs 139.70. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Drug maker Lupin rose 2.98% to Rs 571. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a record high of Rs 574.10 in intraday today, 16 July 2012. The company will consider Q1 results on 24 July 2012.
Drug maker Cadila Healthcare rose 2.56% to Rs 798.75. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
Diversified company Godrej Industries rose 2.39% to Rs 257.25. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company will consider Q1 results on 11 August 2012.

Volumes jump at Welspun India counter
Gujarat Pipavav Port, Tree House Education & Accessories, Britannia Industries, and MindTree are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 16 July 2012.
Welspun India clocked volume of 1.04 crore shares by 13:06 IST on BSE, a 1,029.08-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 10,000 shares. The stock rose 1.87% to Rs 54.50.
Gujarat Pipavav Port notched up volume of 45.44 lakh shares, a 148.13-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 31,000 shares. The stock rose 1.53% to Rs 56.45.
Tree House Education & Accessories clocked volume of 2.52 lakh shares, a 27.72-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 9,000 shares. The stock rose 2.58% to Rs 226.70.
Britannia Industries clocked volume of 1.85 lakh shares, a 21.21-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 9,000 shares. The stock fell 0.79% to Rs 519.50.
MindTree notched up volume of 1.66 lakh shares, a 5.5-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 30,000 shares. The stock rose 1.91% to Rs 670.70.
MindTree's net profit rose 28.6% to Rs 89 crore on 7.1% growth in revenue to Rs 563 crore in Q1 June 2012 over Q4 March 2012. The company announced the results on Sunday, 15 July 2012.
