Dipan Mehta, member of BSE and NSE expects the market trend to be quiet for the rest of the year if the government does not come up with some formidable action or the troubles in Europe are not taken care of. Apart from that, he believes the Indian market will trade sideways in a narrow range.
बाजार में शानदार रिकवरी, सुस्ती पर बंद
कारोबार के आखिरी घंटे में बाजार रुपये के झटके और संसद स्थगित होने की निराशा से उबरे। सेंसेक्स 11 अंक गिरकर 18506 और निप्टी 1 अंक गिरकर 5627 पर बंद हुए। हालांकि, मझौले शेयरों में ज्यादा रिकवरी नहीं आई और निफ्टी मिडकैप मामूली गिरावट पर बंद हुआ। बीएसई स्मॉलकैप इंडेक्स में 0.2 फीसदी की मजबूती आई।
सरकारी कंपनियों के शेयर करीब 1 फीसदी टूटे। रियल्टी, हेल्थकेयर, बैंक, मेटल शेयर 0.6-0.3 फीसदी गिरे। पावर और एफएमसीजी शेयर भी फिसले।
ऑटो, ऑयल एंड गैस, कंज्यूमर ड्यूरेबल्स, तकनीकी शेयर 0.3-0.1 फीसदी तेज हुए। कैपिटल गुड्स और आईटी शेयरों में मामूली बढ़त आई।

Jet Airways (India) spurted 15.85% to Rs 505.75 after scaling a 52-week high of Rs 512.20 in intraday trade today, 23 November 2012. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. The Ministry of Civil Aviation after trading hours on Tuesday, 20 November 2012, said the total domestic passengers carried by the scheduled domestic airlines rose to 45.55 lakh in October 2012 from 40.18 lakh in September 2012. Air India carried 9.49 lakh passengers, Jet Airways (India) carried 8.24 lakh passengers, Jet Lite carried 3 lakh passengers, IndiGo carried 12.66 lakh passengers, SpiceJet carried 8.69 lakh passengers, Go Air carried 3.47 lakh passengers and Mantra carried 100 passengers in October 2012
The number of passengers carried by the domestic airlines was 4.83 crore between January-October 2012 as against 4.96 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year, thus showing a decline of 2.47%.
Stock With Volumes :
Volumes jump at Mastek counter, Edelweiss Financial Services, Persistent Systems, Vardhman Textiles, and Blue Dart Express are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 23 November 2012.
Mastek notched up volume of 5.02 lakh shares by 13:11 IST on BSE, a 200.19-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock rose 1.2% to Rs 130.50.
Edelweiss Financial Services saw volume of 41.64 lakh shares, a 128.17-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 32,000 shares. The stock surged 7.11% to Rs 36.90 after 0.48% equity changed hands in a bulk deal on the BSE today, 23 November 2012. A bulk deal of 37 lakh shares was struck on the Edelweiss Financial Services counter at Rs 34.85 per share at 9:39 IST on the BSE today, 23 November 2012.
Persistent Systems clocked volume of 1.95 lakh shares, a 75.49-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock was unchanged at Rs 475.05.
Vardhman Textiles notched up volume of 2.48 lakh shares, a 29.76-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock rose 0.47% to Rs 247.75.
Blue Dart Express saw volume of 1.09 lakh shares, a 13.13-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock lost 2.8% to Rs 1,999 after the company's foreign promoter set floor price for its Offer for Sale (OFS) at a discount to the ruling market price.
After trading hours on Thursday, 22 November 2012, DHL Express (Singapore) Pte set a floor price of Rs 1,720 per share for the OFS of foreign promoter, a 16.36% discount to the scrip's closing price of Rs 2,056.60 on BSE on Thursday, 22 November 2012. The OFS remains open between 9.15 IST and 15.30 IST today, 23 November 2012.
